What’s so green about it: Burns hydrogen, emits water
Why it’s not easy being green: Where to get hydrogen?

The Honda FCX Clarity fuel cell car will be offered for limited retail sales starting this summer, exclusively in Southern California, the company said at the Detroit Auto Show Jan. 13. Honda says the fuel-cell stack that provides most of the FCX’s power is 65% smaller than previous versions, which makes more room for passengers. Customer lease payments will be $600 per month. Fuel cells run on hydrogen stored in an onboard tank, so the lack of a publicly available hydrogen fueling system is a critical drawback to the technology.
